Head of Applied Intelligence, PCCTC
AI, data science, and biostatistics for clinical research
I lead Applied Intelligence at the Prostate Cancer Clinical Trials Consortium, a function I founded to own our AI strategy and the cloud research infrastructure behind it, from agentic coding workflows inside governed environments to cross-study data platforms. The heart of the work is leading the whole organization (programmers, data managers, clinical operations, business operations) through safe and effective AI adoption: not replacing judgment, but sharpening it.
I trained as a biostatistician and epidemiologist, and I still keep my hands in the most demanding statistical work, from Bayesian adaptive trial designs to causal inference in real-world evidence. I co-authored Causal Inference in R (CRC Press), and I’ve spent my career building data science teams across academia, industry, and startups.
